Night view from observatory

The background image is showing the view from my observatory to the north-west
The area up to 15 km distance is rural with moderate illumination;

At 25 km distance the city of Graz with
250 000 inhabitants is a severe light source, you see its reflection to the thin clouds behind the hill.

Typical limiting magnitudes from 40 degree altitide:
Mag 4.5 (at humid situations)
to Mag 5.5 (at high transparency).

At good transparency conditions the milky way is well visible. Most deep sky images have been aquired during periods of high transparency.
