Trapezium in M42, seeing 3-4, C11 primefocus - webcam
256 video frames processed in Astrostack, unsharp mask, levels
mag11 stars E and F visible in combined frames due to freezing of the seeing

M 42, the Orion nebula imaged by digicam during good seeing at 10°C,
C11 with 40mm Pentax + Nikon CP995 in wide mode,
single unguided exposure of 60 sec with NR, image size reduced; levels, color balance and gaussian blur in Photoshop
The extent of the nebula is quite far for 1 minute exposure,

M 57, the Ring Nebula, my first deep sky shot with the new MX7C camera!
C11 with reducer at F/5.5, single shot 60 sec unguided in progressive mode,
log levels and DDP in Astroart, colors had to be corrected in Photoshop.

The second try with the MX7C, this time on NGC 891, a dusty edge on galaxy in Andromeda at RA 2:22.6, Dec +42:21.
Its hanging there ghostly and faint (seems less than mag 10!), barely visible in the C11 under mag 5 light polluted sky!
Problems with the guiding -star2000 not yet working- forced me to combine 5x 60 sec images
Good transparency and steady seeing, no wind at -3°C
C11 with f/5 reducer in progressive mode,
Drive errors removed by maxentropy deconvolution in Astroart; levels, gaussian blur for faint structures, unsharp mask for stars in Photoshop.
color synthesis did not yield useable colors.

Mars and Uranus are now having a relative close approach with less than 1°
Good transparency at -4°C,
4" refractor with 40mm Pentax afocal + Nikon CP995 in wide mode,
4 exposures each 60 sec unguided with NR combined as mosaic, image size reduced; levels, mild unsharp mask.

M 42, the Orion nebula and NGC 1977 (running man nebula) imaged by CP995 digicam in a cold winter night at bad seeing and -7°C;
Top: 4" refractor with 40mm Pentax + Nikon CP995 in wide mode;
4 exposures of 60 sec combined, noise reduction by "blackframe"; levels, gaussian blur for colors in Photoshop, size reduced to 60%;
Bottom: C11 with 40mm Pentax + Nikon CP995 in wide mode, 3 exposures of 60 sec combined, same processing;
The camera again benefits from the low ambient temperature; raw image: here

A galaxy trio: M81, M82 (distance 12 mio light years) and NGC3077, imaged by CP995 digicam at bad seeing and -4°C with nearly full moon! The sky background saturated the image to 40% in 1 minute;
Top: 4" refractor with 40mm Pentax + Nikon CP995 in wide mode;
12 exposures of 60 sec combined, noise reduction by "blackframe"; levels, gaussian blur for colors and background in Photoshop, M81 and M82 were superimposed from the seperate C11 shots; size reduced to 50%;
Bottom: M82 with C11 + 40mm Pentax + Nikon CP995 in wide mode, 9 exposures of 60 sec combined, reprocessed April 2002;
