About this Image


I placed my mobile setup close to the Loser Lodge direction South at an altitude of 1550 m at perfect weather conditions.
In the valley you see the villages Altaussee and Bad Aussee suffering from quite heavy light pollution.
On Dec 19 the distance between the two planets was about 11 arc-min, the closest apparition was reached on Dec 21 at
only 6 arc-min at bad weather conditions. Last time this happened 400 years ago.
